In the current format of short contests a great importance goes to finding the easiest question first.
I think it would be better if codechef could order the questions on the basis of difficulty or otherwise consider the last succesfull submission time instead of sum of submission times.

I think it is not easily possible to judge when the candidate first viewed a problem statement . I think ordering the problems in difficulty order is a better and easily implementable idea . Yes I also feel , luck plays its part if you find the easy problem early and attempt it .
