ZIO 2015 Discussion

Hi Everyone.
I’m scoring 50 according to the answer key as given on the first page of this question and hopefully I’ll qualify for INOI. Since I’ve no previous experience in sport programming, can someone tell me which all topics from this page should I do exhaustively (as I am pretty sure that completing all these topics before the end of Jan is next to impossible).

So if someone could help me out, it’d be great.

Another thing: is Java allowed in INOI (since I’m finding c++ a little annoying, though I’m pretty comfortable in Java)?

I scored 35 and i am in 11. I would have scored 45 if i dont made a silly mistake.
Last year I qualified ZIO But wasnt able to prepare for INOI.

Really feeling very bad.

Cutoffs are:-
Std 12: 45
Std 11: 40
Std 10: 35

For question 4 there are two answers

I didnt make it with 40 marks ;-(… Last year… Only because of silliness in two sub parts

Hey everyone, I am learning c++ for INOI , but still only know the basics and not sure about how to code the question…saw many of the past years paper but still confused…does someone here lives in mumbai and can help me out?

@a1a0933 Hey! I don’t live in Mumbai, but I can share some resources that I found helpful when learning C/C++:

1.) https://www.thenewboston.com/videos.php?cat=16

2.) C++ Made Easy HD - YouTube

3.) CS50 Lectures 2014 - YouTube (cs50 course from edx)

4.)http://www.mycodeschool.com/videos

5.) Bo Qian - YouTube

Can someone explain me the question 4. I can’t ask it myself as I don’t have enough karma.

Everyone put 11.I really don’t know why…

Everybody got it wrong. Including me. Congrats. Yours is right.

Well I really need a reliable answer for Q2

7300000000
Hmm… I missed that 3! AAGH!

Interesting… 127 seems impossible but lets wait

My values = 3 5 6 8 9 10 13

That’s what I am saying. my sequence will give 107 which I think is the highest achievable.

I posted how I solved Question 2 Part A, turn to the previous page. Your Q1 part a appears to be wrong, Mine also has B = 33 but my number is greater than yours. Q4 part b is 9 and part c is 12.

This is the list of the possible train sequences. If 90 is right according to you find a contradiction in my sequence list.

What have been the cut offs for last years?..and by when is the result declared?

It is Possible. 6 enters and leaves, 5 enters, 4 enters, 4 leaves, 3 enters and leaves then 5 leaves, 2 enters and leaves, 1 enters and leaves. Voila!

If that were the case there would be no flights going out of 2. Your job is to maximize no of flights period. If they wanted us to think like that they would have mentioned is explicitly.

Nvm, i interpreted it wrongly.
