Learning Algorithms

Hey,Can anyone tell me which is a better option to start off with algorithms among the following:-
1. CLRS
2.Algorithm Design Manual by Skienna
What will be a better Approach towards learning algorithms?
By Solving problems first,or By getting some basics of frequently used algorithms and then solving problems.
please,Help me out.

I read that earlier too,it has made many of my views clear about learning.But then,which book should i choose?Some say introduction to algorithm is a great book to start off with,but design manual is also good. Well,thanks!! :-) for answering..
