May be you have logged from multiple machines. SUch happens usually when the user is involved in cheating cases. You can write mail to feedback@codechef.com to know the cause.
Yes, I have faced this problem. Your user name is case sensitive, so, put your name as it is. If there is any small letter then put that small and if there is any capital letter then put it in capital.
If it doesn’t work, then click on forgot password or write feedback to codechef.
