Is SPOJ backend free or paid ?????

Hello ,
I wanted to know if the SPOJ backend that CodeChef uses free or paid . In the codechef financials page there is no mention of payments to SPOJ though there is a section for hardware/software costs .

It is not free. The hardware/software costs include the cost of the services provided by SPOJ. However, the page needs updating. We shall be doing that soon.
