Hi everyone,
I am a beginner preparing for coding interviews and placements.
I am currently learning DSA using Java and solving problems on CodeChef/LeetCode. I sometimes find it difficult to decide which topics and problems I should prioritize.
Can you suggest a good DSA roadmap for beginners, including:
-
Which topics should I learn first?
-
How many problems should I solve per topic?
-
Which difficulty level should I start with?
-
What are some important problems that I should not skip?
-
Any tips for preparing DSA for placement coding rounds?
Any suggestions or resources would be helpful. Thank you!
you should focus on practicing problems on loops and pattern printing then move on to learn the basic concept of array and fundamentals about data structure what are data structure why we create them then start solving problems on leetcode codechef and so on on arrays specifically target 100 to 150 question to solve distinctively that will give you a solid command over the problem solving and programming skills then move toward linked list understand how we create what are the operations we perform then solve 50 to 60 questions on it repeat the same for stacks queue deque tree (solving 50 to 60 questions of each of these data structure) you should definitely start from the absolute beginner level to begin thats gonna give you a lot of help for problem solving aptitude you should never skip the dedicated problem solving in your dsa journey binary search linear search sorting algorithm and further algorithms you should never miss
follow this roadmap and i gaurantee you that within 3 months of daily practicing this for 7 to 8 hours will make you a master of dsa and you will be able to compete in coding contest too.
