Why does Codechef not ban users, once they cheat?
It decreases their rating, and forgets about them. These cheaters learn how to avoid getting caught and then dominate the Rank Lists.
Can you believe it? These cheaters are so good that they are completing Div 2s within 15 mins. Even LGMs take atleast 30-40 mins to complete contests of such difficulty, but here are top 70-80 people in the Rank List, 3* - 4* rated, who are easily doing such problems, within 40 mins.
More than half of them are clearly cheaters, and it is visible in their rating graphs.
@vvit23bq1a6168 Rank 1, cheated earlier
@reshusingh2505 Rank 2, cheated thrice earlier
@invincibleiam Rank 3, cheated twice earlier.
These are the top 3, and most of participants within top 100 are cheaters.
These users easily cheat the system, so that the rating would shine on their resume.
I humbly request the admins to look into this matter, as in this AI era, Codechef contests are becoming more and more unfair for participants who participate fairly in these contests.
I am creating such a long post not just to rant, but because I really like the problems in CC contests created by the problemsetters, like today’s problems created by @raysh07 , and used to love participating in these contests, but now there is no fun in competing on this platform if it only is going to be dominated by such cheaters.
Codechef should strictly ban users who cheat even once, like Codeforces, and also recalculate ratings after they are caught cheating.
I hope some action would be taken by the admins, and they save this platform, so that the competitors regain trust in it, otherwise it would just become a platform where Tier 3 Indian college students keep spamming submissions and speedrunning the contests using AI.
Please ban all the users who have cheated in any of the earlier contests, and instantly ban any user who cheats from now on, even if it’s only once. It doesn’t matter if CC drops the ratings of users, because the rating isn’t recalculated for fair participants for some reason. This is the first time in history when it’s tougher to increase rating on CC compared to CF.
