Hello Sir, can you tell me if there is a penalty in Codevita for wrong submission(like in Codechef Cookoff)? Also, does time spent in a problem matter in ranking? I mean how are the rank list made… like Codechef Long Challenge/Cook-off(ICPC)/Lunch time(IOI)?

Use any language with which you are comfortable to code with. There’s no language barrier.
Codevita first 3-4 problems, has simple basic implementation problems. To practise those, go to beginner level of codechef and start from bottom. Also you can go to codeforces and keep tag as implementation with a rating of 800-1300(but seriously codeforces will be an overkill for tcs)
