Hey @klu2200031097 , Our plagiarism detection checks beyond just changing variable names or making small edits, it checks for deeper similarities in code structure and logic, So, just renaming variables but keeping the same logic can still count as plagiarism.
I recently participated in the CodeChef Starter 158 and unfortunately received a plagiarism mail on my submission for one of the problems. This came as a shock to me, as I completed my work independently and followed the CodeChef rules carefully.
The solution to the XORSMALL problem in STARTERS 158 (rated) was quite straightforward, requiring only the bitwise AND of all elements.
The editorial also presents the same approach (XORSMALL - Editorial), which contributes to the similarity of many submissions.
Furthermore, I submitted my solution prior to the other one as indicated by my lower submission ID.
