Even with star-level changes in ratings for accounts commenting here, I see that their CodeChef Discuss profile still reflects their previous star rating.
Also, seeing a big drop in rating of the topmost rated Gennady from 4092 to 3402 here gennady.korotkevich - CodeChef User Profile with global rank 1 | CodeChef is crunching, specially when he’s performed for that long to gain the old separate rating level! Doesn’t this point out that with the latest ELO-MMR Ratings in place, the long time players won’t be able to stretch their rating beyond some high point, unless there’s some ideal ranking improvement throughout?
My rating didn’t change much with my last contest (from 1843 to 1840), so maybe I already had fair ratings .
From where you got this rating system, In my last contest “April Cook-Off 2022”, two contestant who have much higher rating than me and in the contest both are behind me, then also their rating increased and mine decreased (by 79 points)

Roll back to the previous rating system this elommr is just tooo messed up and instead of again and again changing the rating system run palagrism checks .
New rule needs to be implemented in the upcoming contests right?? why are u affecting the past contest?? doesn’t seem fair to me, upset with CodeChef @admin

There are now two tabs in the user profile graph section. “Current Ratings Graph”, and “Old Ratings Graph”.
The Current Ratings Graph has the ratings recomputed from the very first contest, using the new rating system. In future contests, this is the graph that will keep getting updated with new contest ratings.
The Old Ratings Graph has the ratings history as it was, using the old ratings system. Along with an extra data point at the end which signifies the difference that the ratings system migration has brought in. This graph will be static and not be updated for future contests.
This will be the default tab until the particular user participates in a future rated contest.
@admin you people just messed up the credibility of this platform by these ever-changing rating systems. How can you change all the old ratings with the new one (after introduction of Div-4) considering that the scenarios were different. An Old participant had his/her graph rating decreased while the new accounts (most of 'em) got increased ratings ?

The recent starters (today’s one) shows who the future of this platform is gonna be with that 2000 participants where there used to be 10k + participants.
The dishes made by the chef are worsening day by day, with this being the worst !
Truly disappointing for the guys who made this platform what it was some time ago. As the days pass, we get more and more reason for not recommending codechef to others.
I know rating system is tough , that doesen’t mean you will change the past ratings. This clearly shows codechef is not reliable. These ratings , one day I will put in my resume , will loose credibility. This is why codeforces is much better platform than codechef.
Codechef has become the worst platform for competitive programming.
I’ve not been doing competitive programming since last year, and now suddenly all the hardwork that i once put in this platform is gone because of the rating change.
Codechef is absolute garbage now ! I don’t even care about my Codechef account after this.
