I got a similar email today early morning. I am used to pushing my codes to remote repo as soon as they are accepted. Then this happened:

No. We are at fault here. We should not, in any case, disclose codes of ongoing contests. Point number 5 and 6 of CodeChef Code of Conduct. From our position, if we get banned, all we can do is appeal.

These 2 usernames share the same code for the past few contests for each problem but havenā€™t been plagiarized probably since one submits on pyth 3.6 and the other submits on pyth.
Not even the variables are changed most of the times(quite blatant cheating). I just wanted to report these 2 profiles since it affects the ranks of many people. @admin

i caught in plag for public code from third party websiteā€¦and also i forget to mention the attributes in my codeā€¦So i got a plag mail from codechef which saying after 5 days your rating will be decrease by -275.
As after seeing this mail i replied on it and tell them i didnā€™t cheat in the contest the code which is similar to other is a public code and i also gave the source of that public website.
As this was my first plag so i want to know that will codechef remove my plag or notā€¦???

i mailed two cheaters on 23 july, i still donā€™t see their accounts panalized or anything, no action has been taken. neither have i recieved an reply?

Hello.
I am sorry if itā€™s a little off topic.
But I have one concern in my mind about the Long Challenges.
There are many people who leak the solutions online on YouTube in the middle of the contests.Is there anyway codechef can stop them?
Because it really brings down the spirit of competition when something like this happens.

I think, only we can help in this matter by mass reporting the channel/videos. Because its hard for codechef to monitor everything.

It is really hard to stop them. Reporting the videos takes a while and till then the damage is done.
An option is to make long challenge unrated. But I donā€™t think thatā€™s gonna happen anytime soonā€¦

Yeah Long Challenges should be made unrated and ratings should only be on the basis of short contest just like Codeforces.

@admin my rating from the last 2 contests just vanished. The last two contests are considered to calculate ratings for cook off and lunchtime but not in the overall ratings. Please look into this.
