The king killing question which had been solved only by 117 till today morning had double solves within 2 hours before the end of the contest. Damn, this cheating is going on another level. @admin plz do something. Atleast update the ratings by removing the cheaters within reasonable time not 1 year.

I started checking the solutions submitted for modequation and out of the latest 50 barring 3-4 people all of them have copy pasted the same code from somewhere just changing the variables .
If I compile a list for the same then it will have thousands of name .
I am sure admins are well aware of the extent of cheating which has happened this time around .
In the future I will never give long if things go like this on reputed platform like codechef .There are websites,youtube videos,telegram groups leaking solutions in open for almost all the problems as 10 day is a huge time for a contest .
There needs to severe action against those who submitted the same copy paste codes and codechef should run moss before updating rating for the contest .

In fact, I just checked your solutions and all of them matches with a guy from my college, who obviously himself has cheated.

You can now find the solutions which people have submitted and most probably you would find the exact same code for most of the submissions .

Yup the ISS and MODEQ solution may be same for most of the people participating in Long but the king killing question solution 268 people have solvedā¦ last time I saw it was 110 or somethingā¦ No words to sayā¦

This is sooo right. I have score 630, the second highest score and my rank is 236. How the heck do you expect me to believe that in the time span of today morning to today afternoon about 100 people solve a problem that they couldnāt solve after trying for even 10 days?

What kind of cheating happened in the last problem. I just had my lunch and it had 130 solves and when i came back its 268. Better to unrate rather than receiving delta from such a contest.!

I also decided from now I will participate in cook off and lunchtime only, long challenge have good questions and is best for learning no doubtā¦ but solving after the contest is the best way to be protected so that rating may not fallā¦

I think those people will be sad who did really well (like got score of 500) or something will still lose delta because more than 20% of the participitants did better them, which is absolute nonsense.

i think codechef should take action against those who are providing solutions on the internet(special on YOUTUBE)
and codechef should also provide some extra test cases i mean thereās one extra test cases should be allowed by them
because in long challenges problems are hard and if we get to know at least one test cases where our coding is failing it would be more better.

The reason for more cheating this time I think codechef was not prepared and suddenly organised long challenge and also this time problems were quite simple as compared to the previous long challenges problemā¦ I think thatā¦ most of the question from graph solved using simple dfsā¦ ISS and MODEQ required the knowledge of sieve, factors, euler Totient and properties of gcdā¦ and boom contest overā¦ with no extra different pattern of questionsā¦ Last year when they conduct long challengeā¦ they give problems on segment treesā¦ tricky problemsā¦ convex hullā¦ and also varities of problemsā¦ only submission under 80ās and 70ās and those person would not leak definitelyā¦
According to me if codechef should Increase itās difficulty of the long challenge then this plagarism can be decreasedā¦ as a foolish one will pay huge for the solutionā¦ and the leakers would also find it difficult to solveā¦

yes codechef should keep some strong test cases hidden/private for which the verdict should only be visible after contest is over. for the contest there should be unofficial ranklist and the test cases used in the contest for checking should not be that much strong
How in one shot can u know you wrote rightā¦ in King Killing question itself if 6 testcases file were removed then if the guy wrote simple dfs and do killing at the parent node and send the information upwards that would also pass 8 testcasesā¦ and if that 6 testcases would hidden and after contest the guy who will do with complete dedication will feel badā¦ if he getās wrong during the contest atleast he will try to solve it at that time nā¦ this will help a lot to debug his code and to find mistakeā¦
