Why is there no 2nd long challenge, cook-off and lunchtime lately?

We have discontinued the 2nd Long contest. We will be having only 1 Long contest per month.
The Div-1 contests are now going to be held not on a predefined schedule, but as and when we have a problem set ready. Hence you will not see them on the schedule well in advance. You can expect a Div-1 contest around the end of Oct.

July was the last month when Div. 1 users had 2 contests in a month, since then CodeChef hasn’t conducted Cookoff contest. Why is it so ?
In addition to that, this month, there are no rated contests for Div. 1 until now. If CodeChef can’t even prepare a single rated contest for Div. 1, then you should remove Div. 1 from the platform!
Instead, make them Div. 2, so that at least we could enjoy rated contests like before :))

Contests are going to always be accessible to all users.
