I recently received an email regarding plagiarism in Starters 172 (Rated), where my submissions were found to be similar to other users’ solutions. I would like to clarify that I wrote my code independently and did not engage in any unfair means.
My approach involved:
Iterating through string A to check the presence of B.
Tracking indices of required characters in reverse.
Using a mathematical formula to compute the transformation cost.
This logic is based on standard problem-solving techniques, which may have coincidentally matched with others. I did not share my code with anyone, nor did I copy from any external sources. If my code was found similar to another, I suspect that someone else may have copied my solution.
I kindly request a review of my case, as I have always followed the CodeChef Code of Conduct and competed fairly. I am willing to provide additional explanations if required.
