I recently came across the plagiarism notification regarding my submissions for Starters 196 (Rated), and I understand that my solutions were flagged as being similar to another participant’s. Unfortunately, I realized this notification after the 1-day response window had passed, and I sincerely apologize for this delay.
I would like to clarify that I did not share my code with anyone nor received code from anyone. All the solutions I submitted were written entirely by me. I believe the similarity may have occurred due to the use of standard logic and commonly used variable names, which can sometimes make independent solutions appear similar in structure.
I fully respect the integrity standards of CodeChef and understand the seriousness of plagiarism accusations. This situation has deeply affected me as a genuine participant, and I kindly request you to reconsider the penalty if possible or guide me on any further steps I can take to clear this issue.
Regardless of the final decision, I will be more cautious in future contests and continue to uphold the values promoted by the platform.
