I have seen people ask questions from long contest on stackoverflow and mathexchange. People also copy codes from ideone.I also agree that in a 10 day contest people tend to ask the complete solution from someone else.But long contests are still important as it is during them one searches and learns a new algorithm and tries to implement it.
To those who copy to increase rating: It will do no good
To others: One who solves questions on his own should not bother whether others are copying or not.Think
about your improvement not what others are doing.
