That’s probably because idea of competitive programming to you and to most mainstream IT companies is different. Theirs involve reading and understanding problems which are basic implementation made difficult by the broken language used to describe the problem. While you are used to very technical and clear questions which are difficult to solve because you have to think of a fairly new algorithm.
Exactly… TCS does nothing that requires actual competitive programming skills. It requires decent communication skills and extreme confidence in yourself which made you believe you’re a competitive programmer by finding maximum in an array in the first place. I have no idea why these companies use competitive programming as a source of recruitment when its clear its not required at all but maybe they don’t realize that. The side effect is the overall decline in the quality of CPers due to inclusion of people who has no interest or talent what so ever in problem solving but are just in it for the job.
and not a single one, there are lot’s of companies are doing the same thing they are recruiting users through coding tests and then don’t care about their problem solving and coding skills because actually they nothing have to do with them, this is just like mass recruitment XD

Can anyone tell why some people have 1TR+HR and some have 2 TR+HR in codevita interview scheduled on 5th August at Sri Ramswaroop Lucknow?
It was TLE and i wasn’t able to understand what was the problem going on, their Debugger(Eclipse) was really lagging. Anyway it was my mistake writing directly brute force without even thinking i can use sieve or guess the pattern, thats why i was also getting process killed after 2 seconds.
I have 2 TR and 1 HR. and yours?

I also don’t know the reason. At that time few people were called for 2 TR. i am also seeking for the same… Some speculated at that time that those who have worked on digital technologies…That might be the reason. but still can’t be sure.

I have a relative who takes interviews in TCS…
She said…having 2 rounds is fine and normal…and having 3 rounds means the interviewer wants to give u the second chance…
Some people do get placed by having just 1 round too…
