Dear CodeChef Team,
I am writing to express my concern about the permanent plagiarism triangle shown on the rating graph. Even if the account is not banned, this mark stays forever, forcing many users to abandon their accounts completely.
For first-time or immature mistakes, this lifelong penalty feels too harsh. It discourages learning and growth. I request you to consider a warning system or an option to remove the mark after maintaining fair participation for a certain period.
Everyone deserves a second chance — I hope CodeChef can create a more forgiving environment for learners.

Thank you for your reply.
I fully accept my mistake and regret my action in START175D. I understand that CodeChef gave me a second chance by only reducing my ratings instead of banning my account, and I appreciate that.
At that time, I was not mature enough to fully understand what plagiarism means on CodeChef and how serious it is. I was foolish and directly took help from my friend. It was my mistake, not his — he was also unaware, just like me. I also regret that because of my action, his account also got a warning and a rating drop.
However, my concern is about the permanent plagiarism triangle shown on my rating graph. Even if I participate honestly in every contest from now on, this mark will always label me as a cheater in the eyes of recruiters, peers, and the community. This single immature mistake will affect my career forever, no matter how much I improve or contribute in the future.
I sincerely request CodeChef to rethink this system and allow honest learners to rebuild their reputation after proving themselves through consistent fair participation.
