Would I get a penaly if I attempted a question wrong(like would it affect my rating/ranking) or does attempting a question wrong not give any negative points and only the questions which were submitted right are considered for rating.
Yes, Only the AC are considered in calculating the rating after a contest. You might see the graph goes down and up during the contest it’s due to the Accuracy level if the Accuracy keep on increasing and you are not able to solve it then the graph goes down whether you submit the wrong code or doesn’t submit it. So it’s better to submit the code as much as you can because it doesn’t cause any change in your rating.
