Email received for plagiarism

Hi all,
i have received a email stating that i have copied others codes in JAN long challenge.
What am i supposed to do, i have not copied?

Yes,same with me
Please help

i don’t know i have received a mail regarding plagiarism but i do not understand that why are they putting false allegation?

Someone please help because i am very worried that i might get banned?

what am i supposed to do

Even I have recieved… no one is spared lol . Plag Hammer incoming I guess. It’s sad that this platform has become so toxic. The admins are not responsible, users hi ek dusre ko niche kich rahe.

you have any idea on what i should do ?

i am getting very restless and stressed that i will get banned or my rating will fall
after putting so much effort

Even I’m very worried, especially because placements are coming up and last time I want is being termed a liar about ratings in my interviews. I just hope they remove the false flags.

If you used any pre published code then you should mail codechef providing relevant proof. Assuming this is the case, your rating will not drop as you can use any pre published code if you have right to use it.

Yes, my question is what “justification” can i give? Like how can i prove i have not copied.
The codes they have linked are similar, i brute forced to get partial points and so have the other solutions, so i can’t say the other solutions are not similar because they are similar

One solution for codechef could be if they don’t penalize the solutions which have been submitted first. Only the later submissions should be penalized @admin @vijju123

Refrain from blaming, they are doing there best you see. I put forth my question as im not sure how to prove against their claim

I checked my rank again for JAN20 . It improved a lot.
Almost 30-40% submissions of hard problems of DIV2 is rejected :astonished:.

If you are not sure how to prove that you didn’t copy, then probably you copied or helped someone.
P.S. For cakewalks, you are not penalized.

It improved for me too.
I’m 18 in div2.

You shouldn’t worry and be genuine in interviews. If your skills speak for itself then they can overlook this.

Hmm, might not be the case, but fair enough i guess.
By the way from which year of college did you start coding? Because you have excellent performances in your starting contests!

I started competitive programming around August 2019. I’m in second year rn. I was not serious in my first year. I know a very little cpp and python.

From where did you learn?

Appeal n ask for manual review as the email says? I fail to understand why you arent doing that

Appeal if its false. Its not like codechef admins be like “Lets plagiarize shubh this contest”. Acting like that is completely stupid.
