Hello everyone,

HOT 2023 Round 1 is underway!

The top 5 participants can win cash prizes ranging from $200 to $1000 by designing an efficient multi-core message scheduler which allocates user messages to processing cores.

There are quickstart solutions in popular programming languages that implement a simple greedy approach, so you’re good to start improving it right away.

The contest will last through the next weekend, so you still have lots of time to work on a solution for a chance to win the prizes.

Your performance in this round will be counted towards the total tournament score. More about the contest, rules, and prizes can be found here: hot.algotester.com

Good luck to all participants!

Hello,

This is a gentle reminder that HOT 2023 Round 2 is under way!

This time the problem is to write a sampler algorithm. Given a set of measure reports from a cellular network station you have to select a subset of the reports that represent the original set in the best possible way. The top 5 participants can win cash prizes ranging from $200 to $1000 by figuring out the best solution. There are quickstart solutions in all popular programming languages that implement a simple strategy, so you’re good to start improving it right away.
