I also think so… its good for competition but bad for learning purpose…

Long should be open but it can be unrated. True Learner will be happy as the rating will not change it will not bother cheaters to participate.

Not according to me because the cook off is after 22 days, so will there be no rated contest in the middle of the days?

Well, I guess no. If you search here, you will get to know that long challenge always begins on the first Friday of every month.
So according to this, it will start on 7th May 2021. We still have a couple of days to go. Lets wait for the official announcement, till then gear up !!
