Is Scratch a good programming language too start as a newbie?

If you want to do CP Scratch is not the way to go, If you want to get introduced to programming Scratch is a nice option and after that you could start with python/c++, I started with python 3 (https://www.w3schools.com/python/python_intro.asp) and after sometime switched to c++ (https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/c-programming-basics/)

Any high level language like C++,Python,Java is fine. For CP go for C++.
Scratch was made specifically for kids.
