So I have query regarding the starters 131 which I wrote yesterday. I was successfully able to solve 5 questions in division 3. Now I’ve successfully crossed 1600 mark & got 3 star rating. But I see even after doing 5 questions & just within an hour. I got only 65 points as increment. But when I see other accounts, who solved very late and not as good as me, they all got 120-130 increment points. Dude even the rank, mine is way better than those people but they got more points, what’s wrong with this codechef algorithm. I really need to know this
What can I do, in order to get more points for what I deserve. Should I mail this thing or they’ll get to know by themselves
Your rating change also depends on how fast you solve all the problems and how many problems others have solved during the whole contest.
For example , you solve the first three problems fast enough to get a good rank and took some time to solve the 4th problem you will get a good rank.
But suppose some other person has solved all the 4 problems fast so they would get a better rank then you which would give them a better rating change.
IDK why but I think if you have given less contest or you have new account your rating will increase rapidly.I think codechef also take notice of rating changes in previous contests. Generally if you will observe than you will notice accouts with 8-12 or less contests will grow faster
