I recently saw that my rating has been reduced in may cook off challenge(2021) in which I technically didn’t even participate. The only submission that I made during the contest was to the “BURGER” problem https://www.codechef.com/viewsolution/46813751 which was a “wrong” submission and thus gave me no points and technically no participation in the contest. It can be checked on my profile itself. Also when I go in the contest rank list it shows me that you haven’t participated. But my rating has been reduced on my main profile and it shows that I have secured a rank of “2425”. It’s Not A Bug Its A Feature
When You Make A Wrong Submission In Any Contest It Reduces Your Rating And When You Make Verdict Accepted It Increases Your Rating
You seem unable to understand what I mean. Please check the contest rank list once I am not even in the rank list my guy.

So that means I don’t have any rank in the contest right? Because it shows me that I haven’t participated. But now look at my profile it shows me that I have got a rank of “2425”
See The Last Rank Its 2424 And Your Is 2425 You Have Participated But You Didn’t Solve Any Problem So You Are Out Of Leader Board And You Have Submitted An Ans This Means You Have Participated So Codechef Decreased Your Rank 
I’m sorry it’s my bad I thought as long as I don’t have a correct submission in a contest I am not considered as a participant(since I did not appear in the rank list that way) but that’s now how it works. I’m sorry my bad.
