yup they rejected me. They had 11k participants.
Now I tried to write comments and tried optimizing my solns and took more time 
Obviously they can only filter those 11k people by time taken and college.

@l_returns I can just suggest one thing. Try doing more short contests on other sites like codeforces, atcoder, topcoder, etc. Solving hard problems in long is fine. But coming up with an optimized solution under time pressure in short contests has a difficulty level of its own. And codeforces problems are much more interesting and also have nice short solutions most of the time as compared to codechef contests. That’ll also help you in online rounds of companies like CodeNation, and Google Kickstart and others, which are based on short contests format.

Same situation with me, I have completed all 3 question with all test case. Still i not selected for next round.
They send me the email regarding they not selected me for next round.
Why ? I still not cleared on what basis they are selecting for next round, definately it’s not One Test Only !!
Same bro. Even I’m trying to figure out why I wasn’t selected, even though I solved all the questions with 30 minutes to spare(I spent around 30 minutes optimizing my solutions).

You Both will get call , last time it was late for some candidates but those who solved all 3 got calls for interview

I got the same mail regarding HOLD. Can you please let me know what does this mean? Is it some kind of waitlist?
It can have only 2 possible meanings:-
1.) If all of their positions get filled, they’d reject us(Yup, I too recieved same mail), else accept for next rounds.
2.) They recieved too many applications that it isn’t technically possible for them to interview all that they want to accepted, so they’d interview us later.
I just hope, it isn’t the first point, as it’s Microsoft afterall.

By this line, I am expecting that it is point 2 because they have too many candidates to interview and by the time they would be done interviewing them, it will be 16 December. Since they don’t want us to lose hope for the next steps, they are asking us to wait until the stipulated time.
