I was testing my solution on ideone but forgot to make it private, now I want to know if I will be plagarised. The plagarised solution was wrong and I changed my approach to complete the question. Even then will codechef will penalize me?

So does codechef plagarism checker check for only correct answer or every submitted answer?
It all depends on whether someone copies your solution and submits it. Check your email regularly after contest, if you are going to get penalized codechef will inform you in advance.
