It is not completely clear to me if you get ranked eventually in the long contest if you have attempted a solution, but got 0 points (in total). Do you get ranked last eventually if you attempt e.g. to solve one problem in total and get no points for that attempt?

Yes you do get the last rank and rating decreases if you have just attempted and got 0.
Fair, but confusing, since people with 0 points are not displayed in the contest rank overview.

if you submit any solution than “Yes” otherwise “No”.
