Based on your current rating, Codechef predicts or rather expects a certain level of performance in your next context.
Now your rating goes up if you perform better than that expectation.
And it goes down when you perform lower than that expectation.
You can go through the exact calculations of expectations and results in “Rating Mechanism” under HELP tab.
