Suggestions needed

I need your opinion on these 2 doubts.

  1. How long should a beginner solve problems by looking at topic tag? or rather not use filters when we r in the learning phase.

  2. I read in one of the quora answers that we can begin CP by solving some 50-100 spoj problems. However, I am unable to recall much of that answer. Can someone let me know how one should approach on SPOJ for learning purpose? Do random first 100-150 problems or what?? I need some serious suggestions. Thankyou

Sort the problems on the basis of users and then start solving.

Using filter tag is useful for around 4-6 month from a start after that try to solve without using filter tag.
