Unfair Plagiarism Flag in Starters 179 (Rated)

Dear CodeChef Team and Community,

I recently participated in Starters 179 (Rated) and received a plagiarism flag on my submission. My CodeChef username is palaksri19.

However, I want to clarify that:
:small_blue_diamond: I did not share my code with anyone.
:small_blue_diamond: I first wrote my solution in Java, but due to TLE issues, I rewrote it in Python.
:small_blue_diamond: This might have led to unintentional similarities with other submissions.

I have already emailed help@codechef.com, but I haven’t received any response. I request the CodeChef team to review my case, as I believe the plagiarism detection system flagged my submission unfairly.

If any additional information or proof is required, I am happy to provide it. Please help me resolve this issue.

Looking forward to a response.

Hello, we manually checked your submissions again and we came to the conclusion that it’s not a coincidence and it’s a clear cheating. Still if you have any proofs that make you innocent send those to yugandhar@codechef.com

Hi Team,

I had already shared my detailed explanation and code comparison with yugandhar@codechef.com as per your instructions, but I haven’t received any response yet.

Since I wrote both versions (Java and Python) independently and explained my thought process clearly in the email, I kindly request a re-evaluation of my submission. I am available to provide any further clarification if needed.

Please advise on the next steps, as I’m eager to resolve this matter fairly.

Thank you,
palaksri19
