Well, I know it’s very bad to see how much intense cheating have been done today, but still making every contest unrated isn’t a wise solution, it’s rather selfishness, it will hurt those people who had put their effort throughout the 3hrs. Also, this was rated for div1 too, which is rare for them.
The only solution to this is a plagiarism checker.
@admin are you even listening to our responses or just ignoring everything? If you’re listening, then kindly give a mature feedback over plagiarism check.
Link the video which supposedly uploaded the solution 2 weeks back. That’s just not possible - they probably u0ploaded a dummy video and updated the title later after seeing the problem name.
CodeChef platform over the few months has degraded to such a poor level, where more than 80% of participants copy-paste solutions as it is from external resources September Lunchtime had crossed limits, it takes so much effort to solve contest questions, coping up with hectic college schedules and other work, still, we give contests regularly in hope to be awarded for our hard work, but CodeChef has other plans, in each contest, there are 1000s of submissions to an unsolvable problem in the final few minutes. Codechef has not only taught me that efforts are not always awarded but also gives me depression for alongside.
My peers and I feel astonished that how do these publically available solutions even bypass the authorities. It is my sincere request that if this keeps going on CodeChef will lose its value not like it has a good reputation in recent times now as well.
This message comes of out pure emotions of a college student, I do not mean to be disrespectful but rather honest with the platform I have given hours to.
Yours respectfully
A young Chef.
This solution was made available publically during the contest to a fairly tough question in my division. and the submissions to this question shot from a few hundred to around 2200 in a matter of few minutes. This is disgraceful for the honest participants.
so true man its so depressing its like quiting cp situation no matter how much you put effort it nothing matter even 3rd problem have 2500 submission codechef stoop to hackerrank level its so disheartning
Some action should be taken by codechef to fix the plagiarism issue , In todays contest we saw more than half of accepted solution problem for INTREP problem in last 10 min .
If this continues then it would be tough and heartbreaking for real hardwroking people .
Update :- Same happend with Alice and Bob Face off
@admin Just tell me what should i say to my juniors, who are trying hard to get better at CP and their cheater friends are getting ratings by cheating in each fkin contest.
I don’t wanna point out names, but seriously this is too much. Please, run plagiarism checks for short contests at least?
I can ask kids to focus on short contest, but at least try to keep it clean for god sake
