what are credits exactly? it asked to me verify my phone number and i’ll be able to access the pro sub-modules. I verified, those modules still say PRO but now i have an option that says ‘access now’, and it says this when i click it, “You currently have 2 credits, unlocking this submodule will cost you 1 credit. Do you want to continue?”.
someone please explain this credits concept and how do i get more credits?

Ah, I see! You’re referring to CodeChef’s credit system, which is used to unlock access to additional resources beyond the free content.
CodeChef provides a mix of free and premium content for users. Here’s a breakdown of how the credit system works on CodeChef:
- Free Material: CodeChef offers a selection of problems and materials that are available for free. These are usually basic problems or older content.
- Pro Package: To access more advanced content, such as exclusive problems, tutorials, or premium challenges, you’ll need the Pro subscription.
- Credits: CodeChef gives out credits as part of their system. You can use these credits to unlock premium content. The number of credits you get depends on factors like:
- Signing up for the platform.
- Completing certain activities.
- Sometimes they offer bonus credits for promotional events or challenges.
So, in your case:
- You have 2 credits right now.
- If you want to unlock premium content, each premium problem or module might cost a certain number of credits (in your example, 1 credit to unlock a submodule).
- If you run out of credits, you can either wait for more to be given or you may need to purchase additional credits (if that’s an option on CodeChef).
