The global/country ranking of a user is less indicative of their standing in the current competition when the ratings lists contain all accounts created since the beginning of the website. Codeforces enforces a six month inactivity rule after which you are removed for the ranklists until your next participation… even though your rating stays the same. Is there any particular reason why codechef doesn’t have anything like this?

why my ratings are still showing inactive(I logged in today and solved few problems too) 
your rating is only influenced by rated contests. In your case, only rated Div4 contest. You can find a list with upcoming codechef contests here
The next rated Div 4 contest, for example, starts in 1day23hours and will last 3hours.
