Why my codechef starters rank is increasing after completion of contest?

i saw my rank as 3223 yesterday night as the contest completed then it went to 4389 and again now it is in 6000’s. why is it happening like this?

The ranklist was lagging during the contest yesterday, and it caught up only post-contest.
