@mcqueen2018 That’s a good idea :heart_eyes:
I’ve an idea in my mind, We should choose a algorithm and spend 2-3 days to learn it and then we arrange a contest related to (new) learned algorithm. We spend 5 days for this contest, one/two problem(s) per day. So that we can learn a new algorithm in 7 days…

@abhishek1152 Sure bro :heart_eyes:

good idea but i guess we should start because only chatting will not result in anything

I want people with whom I can discuss about the solutions of the problems i didn’t understand and vice versa. We can make a Whatsapp group for the same.
You can reply to this thread if you are interested.

and I ditch long challenges(later upsolve)(they take too much time) and take part in short ones

That’s nice :D.
I like solving long challenges though. I get to know about new algos etc during it.

This is my idea also you decide i am just suggesting

every saturday night there will short contest 1/2 hours on vjudge on randomly chose problem from A2 judge of level 2-3 on some topic if you want

and for the rest of the week your idea is best (requires too much dedication)

also we can discuss different oj contest like cf,leetcode ,topcoder on your whatsapp group although the group is too annoying right now

I think long challenges are an excellent way to learn new topics and algos.
Isn’t it better to spend time and get prepared first then do contest rather than just giving contest and performing same every time, because you don’t know required algo. Its good to do short contests but long challenges are the best way to learn acc to me .

I think we schedule some contest and topic which on the contest is based also how much difficulty from 1 to 5 , and some good coders like @l_returns and others can give link where we have to learn those topics.

For ex : let suppose on 21 st nov. There is competition of 2 hrs in which only 3 questions will be asked on segment tree , difficulty 2 and here are the links where we have to learn .
Something like that
What’s your thoughts guys @devil_within1 @tanha_barati @kshitij_789 @mcqueen2018 @anon87029294 @shivamchef

doing a contest of only one topic is useless as you already know what you have to use(half work is done.instead after learning a ds/algo you should solve some problems in practice not vc format) but vc should always be mixed format
