why is codechef discuss not the right place to discuss…??
here people are supportive and someone will make sure that no cheating happens
there is already a lot of cheating in codechef…
why do we need these kind of groups??
i was there in that group and left
everyday 5-6 people will ask abt ongoing contests like for test cases and meaning of ques

@ashokshaun You should read this post first, I’ve explained why we need a competitive friend. Anyway, maybe you’re right, maybe not. If anyone seeking help for running contest, then why you help him/her??
@smile_forever… I will never… But there are people who don’t care abt rules or have any principles… Just like people who post solutions for problems in youtube… There are people who will help even though it’s against the rules… There are people who ask others… So if someone asks them… They will tell…
There are people who will have same doubt as the one that posted have so they might discuss… So many confessed in grp that they don’t mind sharing test cases… So many said ithat asking abt question or meaning is not cheating as they are not asking for solutions… So ur intentions are good… But people are not… Very few want to learn in the right way…the cheating propensity in this age has increased… If the same person asks a doubt in discuss… He will not get help… Because if someone helps… Everybody can see him… Thats not the case with what’sapp…sadly there is a feature called personal messaging

There’s no way one will improve like this.
l_returns had a friend whom he knew personally, they study together…
You can’t just find an online friend and expect him to help you or compete with you every now and then, even YOU wouldn’t do it.
We already have discuss if you need help, also there’s a discord channel with 6k+ members where you can get help by the top coders. No need for those fb/whatsapp groups, they’ll only encourage cheating.

Got it, Its depend on our honesty. Group admin need to be honest to prevent all type of cheating. BTW, I’m not a member of whatsup group, If I’m on there (in whatsapp group) then I must prevent all type of discussion + test case sharing + etc. There should have a rules, if someone broke it then admin must suspend him/her from that group. @ashokshaun - you are right, everything depend’s on our intention.
Anyway, At present, i’m personally target some users profile and compete with them BUT they know nothing about it.

BTW, Can you have a try to cheat using my fb group, If you can then It’s prove you’re fully correct
