there can be many ways for example on LinkedIn page of codechef someone given direct hint for lazer problem to use cormen co-ordinate geometry.
So may be something like happened.
How is that hint of any use?
Question is of computational geometry and a little research would make people land on line sweep algorithm but after that part is intuitive so this is not much of meaning in this context, the codes are exactly same so that means maybe mutual friends or ideone.

The irony of this long challenge is that The Guy at the First link(@anon81676827) got global rank of 45 Such a shame .
Ideone cases have bigger reach and a few months back it became a very big issue and people who were working hard but solving problems (even a few 6* coders) got hit.
Rest forums besides stack overflow i don’t use.(so can’t comment)
even second guy has 93 rank
People are openly cheating in telegrams groups and the more funny thing is that people are bargaining there(if you give me code of this ques then i will give you code of that )

I think its totally fake. That 1st guy is not from any IIT he changed his clg name and his real name (but poor guy caught by his username) once he realized that he got caught badly .
As codechef is celebrating it’s 11th birthday,this time March challenge has double the no. of usual prizes, so codechef should also give double of regular punishment to those who indulge in plagrism this time.
When I woke up today my rank in div2 was around 400 but finally ended with 640.
I was shocked that time but now the reason is clear.

Absolutely True. The rate at which the ranks changed today was very high.
But yes these people would not get the satisfaction which others would have got after solving the problem on there own.
