Will you please mention what are those qualities and on what basis Amazon gave you offer or it is just on campus opportunity. There are many people on Codechef who just wanted to increase their rating for a referral and they are doing anything even cheating. I am not saying all of them but in some proportion. These are the only people who is ruining this platform. If you mention those qualities people will focus those qualities. Then this platform will have students only ones who really love competitive programming.

FYI getting a referral does not mean you will get a call. Improve you resume by doing good projects, open source contribution, GSOC.

I had sent a mail reporting a few cases of plagiarism 2 weeks back. But the mail has not been seen yet, I guess. Those codes had just the different variable names but still went undetected by the MOSS.

In my opinion, you should continue with your profile. You are correct in pointing out that your profile shows your improvement over the months. Also, hardly any recruiter checks candidate’s codechef or codeforces profile. They have their own parameters for judging you.

In on campus - recruiters come to you.
In off campus - we have to search where the recruiters are!

There is a difference…

In on campus you are competing with as many as 400 students.
In off campus you are competing with 4000+ students.

I never said it is easy…

Suggestion from my side: CHEFWED Please check plagiarism for this question minutely.
To support my suggestion : Just search CHEFWED solution you will see the solution is posted while the competition was going on.
These guys who are posting solution while competition is going on. They just spoil the long challenge.

I know some persons who were cheated in long challange just to get rating if i mention here can you check their submissions whether cheated or not?

The Lockdown months, particularly MAY20 and JUL20 had a lot of plagiarism groups and YouTube Videos active during the contest. Please check JUL20 ASAP @admin as Intern Season is coming and they may misuse this Rating. My friend got -100 just because he didnt cheat :slight_smile:

As far as I see, it’s 275 not 460 and how is it rude? You may read CodeChef’s Code Of Conduct. It infact became a blessing in disguise.

one thing is admin. if a thief is caught by police and jailed and released, it is necessary to hang a board on his shoulder ‘I AM A THIEF’ ? Same why u write ‘CAUGHT IN PLAGARIASM’ ?

@rns5 got 1st rank in oct19 challenge when moss tells he cheated ? how was that possible ? who would he have copied from , only himself.

the point is why u r showing a rectangle for people who unknowling caught codechef. simply u can decrease rating without the special symbol, everyone will be ok for with it. We are humans, we are not GOD to punish people. Its only a mistake not a illegal crime. yes, some people do compete with passion but what is the fun in seeing others fail in life(those who have problem answer this).

i think everyone willing for @admin to answer. @admin should answer the questions and give justice to the people.

Strongly disagree, I refuse to call any violation of the rules a “mistake”.
And in all cases where there are rules there is also someone who verifies that the rules are followed and manages the consequences if not.
