Why so worry about rating? Is your purpose of programming is getting rating? :neutral_face: :neutral_face: Just code for fun. because if you study because of your interest, you will get good result automatically. so stop worrying about rating and solve an interesting problem.

I just have a small doubt. My initial ratings was 1730. After Long, I got a +89, and rose to 1819, but for cookoff, the rating was decreased by -43. I just wanted to know, if ratings for cookoff was based on initial ratings, shouldn’t my rating increase?

Well, your rank was good, but still with my 431 rank, I should still get a raise by 5 atleast and not decrease, given my rating was 1730. @admin or @vijju123 , can you please clarify?

Even last time once they had calculated the ratings , ( when two rated contest clashed ) they changed the ratings afterwards
So may be there was something wrong or something , they might change

and @vijju1231 (i am not sure if this is an alt account but if not then):
it’s just your account is with literally just one letter more than the moderator’s account it causes inconvenience to many users and many things which are to be addressed to him gets transferred to you and he is not able to do his job properly, that’s a reason why if it’s a joke it’s not a good one as it does a bit harm to the other person.

Yes, you are compared to the people who gave the contest in the same division as you but ratings changes are calculated with your new ratings.

No thats not how it is. Your rank is the same and you’re compared with the same people, only that the rating calculation is done with the rating after icm and long.
