Dude, If you get good enough, your rating will eventually rise and that rise would be genuine. Instead of worrying about rating at the moment, focus on up-solving what you couldnāt and improve yourself insteadā¦ Like; whether we like it or notā¦ Cheating is not gonna stop, especially in Long Challenge. Stop worrying about rating and improve by up-solving and learning continuously. Then these activities will neither have impact on youāre rating nor on you.

what are you even implying? u blv solns of SUMXOR2 and MULGAME wre leaked and yet only 2 people from your college managed to solve mulgame and 1 solved sumxor2.
or can you not get over the fact that low rated coders are better than you? is that why youāre trying to spread dirt on an entire college?

Sir/Maāam it does not effect the coding abilities but it is clearly demotivating as of my point of view.
Well then, you need to work upon your motivation factor.
Basically, letās take the example of SUMXOR2 of this contest itself.
That question involves the use of FTT/NTT. This might be a common algo for 4 star or 5 star coders. They must be having a knowledge of it but for a newbie or a 2 star coder. I highly doubt they can solve this problem. The problem has a lot of things to take care of. With the cheating and getting solutions by paying for them/for free, because of this, a problem like SUMXOR2 which might hardly get 100 correct submissions in Div2 got 500+ correct submissions.
I spent 3 days on this problem, at the end had to give up on the full approach and solved for partial marks, a lot of people copied solutions from YouTube or telegram. and got as high as 7 questions right in Div. It effects my rank or anyone elseās rank who worked themselves and at max maybe discussed the question with a friend or two. If the cheating would have not been there, someone who got a rank of say 500 normally can ended up with a under 200 rank. Better ranking implies Better ratings.

cool. so weāre worried more about other peopleās progress (either by fair or unfair means) rather on our own. for a second, i thought i was on facebook.
and the rating difference (the one you got vs the one you received) changes things how? if it finishes your motivation to continue further, trust me, cheating is not the real issue then, you gotta reconsider your choices.
Well okay sir Iāll keep a check on my motivation factor. But what i think is whatās wrong is wrong.
If nothing canāt be done then itās my bad that i raised the issue.
It is obviously demotivating to see people doing unethical practices just to get a good rating.
It decreases the standard of Code chef too. Couple of years back, When I joined college, CC rating was something to be proud of. It is no longer the case as every other person knows, the rating are not fair and they wonāt even consider it now. I like long as the questions here are different from other short contest questions.
