Some people argue that Codechef being a free platform, so having limited servers , thereby taking time to detect plagiarism, but in my opinion, it is better to make codechef paid and improve its servers and moss.
Atleast beginner & honest coders will not face the demotivation and depression
Actually, there is no fault of cheaters, everyone will get fascinated with the ratings and stars when they all are available so cheap at youtube and telegram.
Even The honest coders get lured by the solutions availble on telegram and youtube and they attempt to cheat. As a result of which , this cheating spreads like a forest fire.
Telegram and youtube were there earlier too but earlier cheating was not so on a mass scale but nowadays , I guess high proportion of coders on codechef has cheated at least once in their coding career on codechef
Some concrete steps need to be taken to stop solution and code sharing at TELEGRAM AND YOUTUBE.
Else, Cheaters will cheat and made other genuine coders also cheat.
Nobody can stop them. They are habitual of this now.
No matter how much we scream on Codechef Discuss blogs.
They will cheat.
He has even cheated in Codeforces…there is one guy whose CF handle is akashramjyothi if you see his and this akashramjyothi’s submission in DIV 2 707 they are exactly the same…even the order of passing the variable in min/max function…you just need to read through akash’s code because he always writes some waste code just to get away with MOSS…they both are a cheater of very high level and see this arpit’s LinkedIn posts how he is becoming an inspiration by cheating. And this akashramyothi is another level cheater…his solutions also got skipped in system testing in many contests due to plaig.
I think the best way to check whether a guy has actually knowledge is to check his coding profiles which are not considered as an achievements on public platform like number of questions solved on gfg or leetcode will tell you whether the person has actually knowledge or just cheated to gain ratings because if he is genuine he would have practiced on these platforms without thinking that I would not get that sense of achievement on practicing here and no one will praise me. He just solved questions there to improve his skills. Although this is not the best way to check whether the person has cheated on CC or CF but yes this can be an effective method like if a person has solved let’s say 200 questions on gfg that means he has genuinely practiced.
Than why not comment on his linkendin post , it will teach him a good lesson , becoming 6 star by cheating and then showing off.
Can you please mail the screenshots and names of all these as the more we mail codechef the more they will take seriously… It is a big thing coz if chapter leaders do things like these then what will the juniors learn! ultimately cheating is being promoted by this NITJ CC chapter @cheaterfinder @admin
I have already mailed codechef with detailed submission links and screenshots. Now it’s on codechef that whether they really want to punish cheaters or not.
Reason(s) :
That will not happen for sure , BTW cheating happens in short contests as well , so should those be unrated as well?
do you think this type of cheating happens in short contests, i don’t think so.
Yess they do , good bye 2020 is an example, the only difference is that you would get quite less youtube videos for short , but telegram group works the same as they work in long
I like Codechef problems but…
Long Contest: Too much cheating !!!
Short Contest: Sorry, server error.
Looks like time to say goodbye to Codechef and move to Codeforces permanently.

@admin I literally beg you. Please make this long challenge unrated atleast for this month.
I think one of the reason is also that the very high level of questions for ex because in div 2 after the first question ,it’s like solving Codeforces level C problem .
I mean if you don’t allow new students to solve even first 2-3 questions with a reasonable level of difficulty , from a long list of 10 questions in Longs then how will their confidence improve .

This thing cannot be stopped . Instead of trying to identify the negative people around us better work on us and improve.
Neither codechef or any other platform can do a thing about this … it all boil down to how you wanna use these amazing coding platforms … it can be used in a negative way as well as a positive way . So we should better focus on our skills and ignore the ones who are cheating …
