I literally started competitive coding from this contest and I saw a lot of videos but I haven’t cheated a single line of code, In my first contest I saw that I can solve 3 problems and I did only three problems, and 1 attempt failed in watching cpl problem. I eagerly waiting to see how I come up with rank. But for 1 single guy why beginners like me will not get any rating?

Man this is actually demotivating ngl.
Please don’t make it unrated.
Even wasting a few hours in last lunchtime was quite irritating from a website with a platform that has been live for ages.
Anything being unrated now will mean more than a week of efforts gone waste.
I would move to codeforces already if there was not the issue of same time limit for all languages

You are a beginner, but if you give me a small hint, I could draw out the solution in some hours. This does come under cheating don’t try to watch youtube in between contest if you think some content might be available on GFG or other resources go for it any day , you will learn something new

His codechef account is Banned completely and github code was taken down… But ye BC saala fir se repo ka name change kr ke code upload kiya… kya chul machi hui hai iske mann mein pta nahi…
nd what for those who solve the questions by their own . this is second long challenge on this platform but yes somehow i agree with ur point

There are many people submitting solutions in different languages. I think, they submit the solution in whichever language they get from internet. I saw a guy submitting solutions in c++, python and java. What is the need of switching languages if you are clear with logic and comfortable with one language? Cheating is very wrong and its just gonna increase day by day if codechef doesn’t take strict action.

Yup you are spot on @deepti32. One of my college mate only who generally only codes in python has submitted solutions of cpl in java and one more problem in c++. The irony is that these cheaters think that by cheating they will land up in faang and dont have to pass rigorous interview,but the reality is other way round. @admin please do kindly make atleast this jan long challenge unrated…
I don’t understand what’s the problem with those poeple cheating.Let those people cheat where will they go with this rating it doesn’t affect ur preparations or neither improves you then why wasting time on finding who cheated or not.

I would request codechef to make this long challenge unrated as till 5th ques (division 2) the answers are leaked and this is not a joke.

Just let it be. Sincere coders don’t copy codes and the one who does just do it for fame. We are not here for ratings and glory but just to learn and grow. So let it be.

Rating doesn’t matter but this is really disturbing and shouldn’t be ignored. Who wants to compete with cheaters?

Can someone help me with the way to report copied solutions?
It’s easy to look at the solutions for lot of problems (specially with few correct answers), such as TILESQRS and COOLSBST, where suddenly lot of people got correct answers and their codes are EXACTLY THE SAME.
While we cannot prevent someone coding things on their own after understanding the logic, but I was hoping Codechef will have a way to report this level of blatant plagiarism. Of course small details like variable names have been changed to avoid moss, but anyone looking at codes manually can 100% confirm the plagiarism
If anyone is interested in proof, I am happy to share.

I dont know i guess i am loosing interest from codechef long challanges…Before it was fun to compete with my friends and others…but now it is worser than ever…and i think it is just waste of time…
In my optinion reduce long challange time to around 3-4 days…and organise more rated contest other those 3

Please run a plagiarism check and update the ranklist instead of making it unrated as it would not be fair for those who worked hard to solve them.
