Will the codechef starters 8 affect my august long challenge

I am giving the august long challenge in div 3 if say i give the codechef starters and get promoted to div 2 will i get the ratings added according to the august long challenge

I am also interested to an official answer to this question, the rating for the long run should be the one we had by joining It at the start date and not the updated one.
Let’ s see, otherwise I see no point in participating to this contest
