Few things to consider:

  • YouTube’s copyright system is broken. [Learn More]
  • You cannot do anything in telegram unless the shared material is under DMCA, furthermore it’s not difficult to create a new channel, also there are no algorithms to detect the “text” in telegram for DMCA.

So what can be done?

Nothing.

People who will search for answers over telegram probably won’t be recruited by the recruiters and will be filtered out at later stages for obvious reasons.

There are 0 advantages when you copy the code, and the damage is to be people who copy not to the CodeChef.

While there can be an argument about youtube monetization of the content but solution is of the creator so he deserve it unethically.

Only Div 3 folks do that and they hardly matter :smiley:

I am also in favour of reducing time of long challenges to 1 or 2 days as this can reduce cheating to sone extent. And instead of holding 1 long. More than 1 long challenge is good decision.

You can verify them once the contest is over. I am posting this before the end of the contest so that it can serve as a warning to others. No one will be spared and I am serious about it. Update - All Division 1 submissions have been checked. I will need some time to check the Division 2 and Division 3 submissions since the number of submissions increased to nearly 3 times in the last day itself.

That is literally how the job of detective works. You don’t say, I’m about to report you to the officials if you give me proof of your work. You’ve got to smart about it.

Of course, there’s always the case of OP being frustrated because he got scammed and didn’t recieve the solution he expected, etc. But hey, every report is valuable here. :slight_smile:

most of these idiots cheat to impress the interviewers. I suggest @admin to drop their ratings before placement season to teach these guys a lesson.
Your image is going down day by day codechef @admin. Take strict action.

I too want @admin to check this guy’s submissions of this as well as past contests.

He just uses his template and uses the code leaked in youtube. He aslo purchases code from telegram
